Position Overview
In this role, you will lead new product development projects and customer programs. You will work with operations, marketing, sales, and overseas partners to ensure the successful launch of new products and the timely execution of customer programs. Your responsibilities will include structuring projects, defining timelines, and owning project progress from inception to launch.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Structure project plans, define timelines, and own project progress of new product development projects and customer programs from inception to launch.
- Work with operations, marketing, and sales to confirm project details, timelines, and relevant information.
- Work with marketing and overseas partners to develop new products.
- Negotiate with overseas partners to achieve competitive pricing while maintaining product quality standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact in the organization for all project-related activities.
- Special projects as required (which is a fancy way of saying “other stuff we can’t think of right now”).
Requirements/Preferences
- Project management experience with a focus on new product development in the consumer goods industry.
- Familiarity with sourcing in the consumer goods industry.
- A creative and entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for problem-solving and a desire to grow and develop newness.
- Self-starter who can work independently and within a team environment.
- High attention to detail with an aptitude for organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Will be open, direct, clear, and kind when communicating and collaborating with colleagues and partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
